Straight double row of stables can be applied across tubular structures ie gut, using dispoable staplers. There are different sizes (35mm, 55 and 90 mm) and various heights.

The gut is held flat across the mouth of the stapler, and when the stapler is closed, the staples are pushed across the tissues, and closed around it.

These staplers allow for a good seal and go not require further closure. They are used in bowel surgery.
