Snowboarding related injuries has rapidly become a significant part of many orthopaedic
units, which cover areas involved with winter sports.
It is also seen in some centers in England, where there are dry-slopes, where the range of injuries though different from that of snow associated boarding. In these centers the injuries are seen through out the year, and not seasonal. There is a lack of epidemiological studies with regard to dry-slope injuries on a large scale.
